The Fraternity House![]() 1401 W. University Stillwater, OK 74074 The Kappa Sigma House is located on the southwest corner of University Avenue and Cleveland Street in Stillwater, Oklahoma, where it was built in 1955. In 1993 the house received a facelift when the exterior front entry, main room, dining room and the house mother's quarters were remodeled. The house consists of 29 rooms that can hold 69 men at capacity. Eighteen of the rooms are designed for two men to live in, while the other eleven can hold three men in twice the space. Each room is equipped with two ethernet connections to allow access to the house's computer network and to the internet via a dedicated high-speed DSL connection to SBC Global's internet backbone. Cable television service and internet access are included in the house bills. The house also offers a spacious living room for studying or the occasional movie or sporting event on the new 32" television provided by the Parents Club. The house has on-site laundry facilities in the basement and an activities room for meetings and group projects. The house kitchen is operated by a local food-service company that provides a cook for 15 weekday meals for the members. While most of these meals are casual in time and dress, Monday night dinner is formal, requiring promptness and coat-and-tie attire. This is also the time that many announcements are made to the house by various student and community groups concerning the week's on-campus activities or opportunities to get involved in the future, so we want all our members to be attentive and presentable to these guests of our house. |
